∴ If you read the last post, you know there are plenty of great farm and barn options for your wedding! Brides who are seeking a classy country wedding are in luck with everything North Carolina has to offer. Read on for some more great choices.
A family farm that was recently updated to hold weddings, Morris Peaceland is a great spot for peace and privacy. Reviewers have noted it as magical, and a good setting for a Bohemian-style wedding. Prior wedding photos included horses, a pond, and a ceremony taking place on a dock surrounded by luscious greenery.
This 13-acre Raleigh venue can accommodate up to 220 guests. The farm owners lovingly repurposed their 1950s barn into a new barn and pavilion. A fountain was added to the pond to create an extra-magical photo backdrop.
This 30-acre active horse farm in New Hill offers a 40×60 farmhouse space that accommodates up to 200 guests. Guests may enjoy walking along the winding driveways and taking in all the natural beauty at Finnigan’s Run Farm. While the outdoors boasts pastures, a pond, and undisturbed forest, the farmhouse has some great features as well.
Bride and groom dressing areas are available in the farmhouse and include a lovely wraparound balcony. The interior blends a modern farmhouse style with a more rustic lodge style. An outdoor patio with seasonally available tenting can be used. As a bonus, there is a pool onsite!
This venue’s name may make you think of a fairy tale, and the venue itself might, too!
While the décor has plenty of modern farmhouse and industrial touches, the overall vibe is romantic. The Meadows At Firefly Farm Preserve is set on 105 acres. The nature preserve offers some unique indoor/outdoor spaces. Interior spaces include Heron Hall, Aerie House, and The Roost.
Heron Hall is a rehabbed warehouse and grain silo that blends modern décor with the beauty of nature. This space is climate-controlled and has large glass doors that offer stunning views of the preserve. There’s also an inner courtyard, a covered arbor, and a fire ring where guests can roast marshmallows.
Aerie House is the most fairytale worthy space, with French Provincial architecture and lots of feminine touches. The interior is country inn style with a lovely staircase, veranda, fireplace, and glass chandeliers. Bridal party pictures taken here have a dreamy, timeless quality.
The Roost answers Aerie House’s feminine enchantment with a vibe that is decidedly masculine. Guests will enjoy this space, with the included bar, big screen tv’s, and poker + ping pong tables.
If you imagine your big day as an intimate experience for your guests, Warren Estate is a great choice. Though the setting is on the rustic, cozy side, it doesn’t mean you have to skimp on the guest list! The Estate can accommodate up to 250 guests.
Wedding parties have exclusive use of the farm, which includes 105 acres of lush forests. A charming old barn decorated with flower boxes and white curtains serves as the backdrop for ceremonies. The back of the barn is used for cocktail hour. Receptions are held in a tent. A corn crib and converted smokehouse are available for event use, too.
∴ Each of these venues have their own distinct charm, especially for those who love the outdoors. Though they feature relaxed atmospheres, refined décor and elements can still set the tone for your special occasion. If you’re a lover of historic barns and rustic farms, consider one of these venues for your dream wedding.
