A Salsa Hot Bachlorette Bash By Erin Mclean Events
While planning Downtown Raleigh Bachelorette Party at the Red Room, owned by Rocky Top Hospitality, Erin McLean Events decided to use their Thursday night Salsa lessons as a springboard into our celebration!
It is such a great idea to have a fast moving exciting activity as an icebreaker early on to get the guests pumped and to encourage them to mingle with each other. For the color palette we drew our inspiration from the room’s fabulous amber, blue and red light fixtures.
Because the room has so much red we wanted to incorporate colors that stood out in the space so we used corals, ambers and burgundies ― all colors that are going to be very popular for 2011. Tones of blue are striking against so much red, so we used lots of blues as an eye-catching accent.
Because we were launching a bachelorette party, we wanted to include really fun and chic florals. Since the Red Room has such amazing Sangria, we decided to create our centerpieces out of tall beverage shaped glassware filled with red glass beads and oversized orange cali-lilies that stood straight and tall. Chiavari chairs are still a hot trend, but we are seeing a lot of new types of seating, so we went with fantastic chameleon chairs that work extremely well with any color scheme. Linens consisted of burnt orange and amber tones that played off of the Red Room beautifully. Tables were set with bright red chargers and blue, orange and red glassware that tied in the entire theme of the party.
