Hi, My name is Jessica George and I am the owner of Jessica George Weddings and Events. At the age of eight years old, I got my first taste of event planning. While helping with decorations at a relative’s baby shower, one of the adults showed me how to make a box design out of streamers. That one small episode sparked something in me and from that point on, I was hooked on the whole idea of event planning and everything it involved. Since then, I have planned various types of events from baby showers and birthday parties to weddings, receptions and anniversaries. I love creating unique designs and styles. Understanding my client and custom designing the event to suit his or her uniqueness is my speciality. What is especially rewarding for me is taking my client’s vision and turing it into his or her reality. My natural talent is artistic therefore, I have an eye for creative work and I can recreate anything I see or that my client can image.
I am a native New Yorker and have lived in Raleigh North Carolina for ten years (WOW how time flies.) In addition to my natural, God given talents in creative design, my educational background is in Graphic Arts, Tile Setting and Culinary Arts. I earned my Special Event Planning Certification from Wake Technical School and I under girded my formal education by taking Art and Fashion Design classes at Meredith College. I have successfully completed the Elana Walker Mentoring Program and interned at Creative Touch Events.
When I am not planning weddings and events, I am home reading, drafting ideas and most importantly, spending time with my husband and three children. As a wife and mom, I get plenty of inspiration from the home front.
