I’m a Raleigh newborn and wedding photographer, but you’re an intelligent person, so I’m going to go ahead and assume you already knew that if you’ve made it this far. Sense the sarcasm? Hold on tight, friend. There’s more where that came from.
When I’m not becoming besties with my brides and making their wedding day photos the most fun thing ever or cuddling newborn babies (and secretly inhaling that newborn scent), I’m most likely spending some QT with my husband and two sons, dancing like no one’s watching or trying to figure out how I can live inside of a J.Crew catalog – maybe even all three if I’m feeling crazy.
I grew up in Indiana, but life led me to Boston and Chicago and made my heart beat hard for the city. After my husband and I had our first child, we moved back to my hometown for a few years before we finally put down roots in North Carolina. It’s been an adventure, but we’ve learned a lot about ourselves in the process, and I wouldn’t trade a minute of it for anything!
I’m laid back but fiercely passionate about what I do. I’ll make sure your photos are gorgeous, but I’ll also make sure that they’re an accurate representation of you and your relationship. I’ll make a complete fool of myself and make ridiculous remarks if it makes you feel more comfortable in front of the camera, because this is supposed to be FUN, and I’m 100 percent committed to making that happen. I’ll give you direction, but I’ll also let those natural candid moments happen, because I want to capture YOU – not a perfectly posed version of you!
Because twenty years from now, I want you to look back at your photographs and be immediately brought back to that moment. I want you to remember who you were in that moment. I want you to feel the emotions you felt – the happiness, the love, the overwhelming joy that brought you to tears. I want you to be able to come as close as you can to reliving it.
