Real NC Wedding : NC Vineyard Wedding by Virtue Event Planning & Consulting
This stunning NC Vineyard Wedding by Virtue Event Planning & Consulting looked so beautiful in the pages of our 2014 issue that we just had to share it with you on our blog as well. Josh and Natalie’s love story is so beautiful – they were married at the same vineyard that Josh proposed – that it was only fitting that their wedding be just as romantic. Wedding Planner Joye Speight of Virtue Events used her amazing talent and experience to give Josh and Natalie their dream rustic, vintage wedding theme, incorporating perfect details including an awesome vintage truck and adorable dessert bar, and In His Image Photography perfectly captured all of the little things that made this wedding so special. You can read their story from the 2014 issue below – Congratulations Natalie + Josh!
“It was in Junius Lindsay Vineyard when Natalie knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Josh.
After Josh proposed to Natalie on a hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the wedding planning began. Josh and Natalie had gone to Junius Lindsay Vineyard for a wine tasting on their one year anniversary and it was at that time, that Natalie knew in her heart that she would love Josh forever. After, looking at multiple wedding venues in the Triangle, Natalie and Josh decided to go back to the place where it started, Junius Lindsay Vineyard. The lush vineyard contains 11 acres of vines and open land, which was perfect for their vintage, rustic wedding theme.
The color scheme of ivory, sage green, and burlap suited the pastoral landscape, and the vineyard style was reflected in the stationary, programs and menu cards. The ceremony took place in the vineyard where the couples’ guests created the aisle for Natalie to walk down to her beloved.
The guest list was made of Josh and Natalie’s closest friends and family members, so it only made sense to have a family style reception in the vineyard’s tasting room. The tables were dressed with white linens and burlap sashes and adorned with multiple levels of pillar and votive candles. Place cards were inside of corks at each place setting.
The guests enjoyed a 4 course meal prepared by Chef Dion. The bundt cakes were served on large wooden slabs to stay consistent with the rustic theme. Guests had an opportunity to taste the vineyard’s award winning wine selection during the reception. After the formalities, guests enjoyed the rest of the evening by singing karaoke and dancing until their departure.
As a surprise, Natalie rented a vintage moxie cooler and ceramic chicken to be displayed as a reminder of the special role that her grandfather played in her life.”– WM 2014
