Project engagement: our intern’s story!
Four years ago this guy told me he liked me. He said he would go to our high school football games to watch me cheer, and that he admired my charisma. After he wrote me a goofy poem to ask me to prom, and got down on one knee in the Harris Teeter parking lot to ask me to be his girlfriend, there was no turning back. I didn’t know what it was about this guy, but I liked him, a lot. We’ve spent countless hours getting to know each other, and getting to know each others hearts. I knew a few years into our relationship, while he was attending that other North Carolina school, and I was full of pack pride (a true house divided) that we were meant to be.
