Real Fall Wedding – Julianne & Matthew at Morris Peaceland
Julianne and Matthew were married on a crisp fall day at the Morris Peaceland Farm. A rare gem in the heart of Raleigh, the rustic 13-acre farm provided a peaceful, romantic setting for the couple to say their “I do’s.”
Julianne exuded grace and beauty in her lace gown, and the vibrant red and purple blooms in her bouquet added warmth amidst the fall air. Her bridesmaids accentuated the colorful blooms held in their bouquets, wearing gowns in varying shades of blue, violet, teal, and magenta. Matthew incorporated the rustic theme in his beige vest, which looked handsome against his navy bowtie.
The ceremony was intimate from the moment guests entered the venue. Greeted by a handwritten chalk sign, Matthew and Julianne’s friends and family were directed to grab their programs and a blanket if they needed – a thoughtful idea for a fall wedding! With the couple standing hand in hand under a wooden alter decorated with greenery, the falling autumn leaves upon the still lake behind them created an ethereal setting.
After the ceremony, guests were invited to mingle with each other, get a bite to eat from the food trucks, and play cornhole. At the reception, tables were left bare to accentuate the rustic feel of the wood. A wooden planter box sat atop a long farm table, encasing the vibrant blooms that made up Julianne’s bouquet. Small lanterns, gold accents, and hanging market lights provided a romantic ambience.
After dinner, Matthew and Julianne cut into their cake, which was decorated to resemble tree bark featuring the couple’s initials “carved” into the trunk. The cake looked even more realistic as it sat surrounded by fresh greenery and baby’s breath. Matthew and Julianne enjoyed a bite and then hit the dance floor.
Matthew and Julianne were able to steal a moment to sneak away outside together. The two enjoyed ice cream as they shared an intimate moment alone as newlyweds before returning to their loved ones, who were anxious to send the couple off under the glow of sparklers against the night sky. The magical moment looks like something out of a fairy tale!
