Real Wedding at The Oaks at Salem
The centuries-old charm and lush green landscape of The Oaks at Salem created a fairytale-like atmosphere perfect for Caitlin and Andrew’s wedding. Boasting eleven pastoral acres of manicured greenery and mature hardwoods, the venue prides itself on offering a setting designed to capitalize on the views from every vantage point.
Caitlin began her day in the main house, overlooking the serene one-acre pond, ceremony wall, and rustic barn from the house’s extensive veranda. After popping champagne and enjoying mimosas with her bridesmaids, Caitlin stepped into her beautiful mermaid gown with lace overlay and an embellished waist. The peach and pink blooms in her bouquet added a soft femininity to her look.
Caitlin’s bridesmaids complemented her nicely in light blue gowns with varying necklines and bouquets similar to her own. Andrew and his groomsmen looked dapper in light khaki suits, striped blue bowties, and peach bloom boutonnieres.
Caitlin and Andrew shared an intimate, romantic moment alone together at the main house before meeting each other at the alter. The walk from the main house to the ceremony wall was filled with charm and created an ethereal ambience perfect for the ceremony. The brick path aisle was lined with bouquets of white blooms and the alter was dressed in bountiful greenery, which stood out nicely against the wall’s rich wooden doors.
After the ceremony, guests were still able to enjoy the whimsical atmosphere as they headed to the outdoor reception back at the main house. Caitlin and Andrew enjoyed cake and danced as they celebrated with their loved ones. As the afternoon gave way to dusk, the twinkle of market lights overhead and in the trees cast a magical glow upon the newlyweds, making the perfect ending to a fairytale day.
