Real Wedding: Forest Hall at Chatham Mills – Industrial Meets Romantic
If you were to ask a bride what makes a wedding, 9 times out of 10, she would say “The flowers!” Flowers have the power to transform a venue, it can take a simple building and bring it to life with color, diversity and fragrance. The breathtaking arrangements and bouquets created for the industrial romantic setting of Forest Hall at Chatham Mills were more than just your average roses and baby’s breath, these one-of-a-kind floral designs were vibrant works of art!
The bride wore a gown that had a vintage-feel from Traditions by Anna Bridal Boutique – a sleeveless sheer lace top and floor length flowy skirt. This dress complimented the groom’s striking blue suit with white shirt and soft yellow tie. The trellis arrangement burst with an array of fresh blooms and greenery in a half arch, surrounded by candlelight, each moment captured by Morgan Caddell Photography.
The reception was a sight to behold, “We choose cement instead of marble since it was something we had never experimented with before, and copper instead of gold,” said Aneesa Glines of Harmony Weddings and Events. “Every detail of the shoot, down to the food display and wedding rings tied into these two textures.” Love Cake created a sugar masterpiece – the bottom two tiers were marbled blue, followed by a copper colored layer and topped off with a cement colored layer and there were mustard yellow flowers trailing down the whole cake.
Contrast is key when you combine two of the hottest trends this year – and this is EXACTLY how it’s done.
