Real Wedding: Stacie & Taylor – Southern Comfort
Stacie and Taylor were married along the shore of the Outer Banks on a beautiful, though slightly overcast day. They said their “I Do”s under a rustic altar made of two wooden beams meeting simply at a point, topped by a floral arrangement of sunflowers and wildflowers in shades of orange, pink, russet, and blue. The tall grass on the dune billowed in the background.
Stacie wore a gorgeous gown with a flowing skirt and a bodice draped in silver jewels, chains, and beads. She wore her blond hair in loose curls, pinned behind her ears. She carried a bouquet in the same blooms as the altar pieces. Flower Girls OBX created the floral arrangements and bouquets.
Meanwhile, her bridesmaids wore light grey gowns with strapless, sweetheart necklines. They carried wooden tambourines wrapped in pastel ribbons, and they wore a simple tied bracelet with tiny flowers on their wrist.
Taylor wore a sandy grey suit with a white, button-up shirt left open at the collar. He left his suit casual for the beach wedding, with a simple pocket square and a small boutonniere. His groomsmen wore navy slacks with white, button-up shirts pinned by a coral tie. They wore small boutonnieres on their left breasts.
The Outer Banks Music Masters played during the intimate ceremony, which was officiated by Nicholas Bianco.
Guests moved into the Sanderling Resort for the cocktail hour, where East Coast Entertainment provided the entertainment. During the reception, Mr. Potato Head of East Coast Entertainment spun the tunes while the guests danced the night away under strings of twinkle lights.
The reception was decorated with light grey linens, sprays of wild flowers in the same colors as were used in the reception, and votive candles. The Sanderling Resort served the meal, followed by key lime pie and New York cheesecake. Stacie also created a display wall for a donut bar, which was provided by Duck Donuts. A sign hanging over the board said, “All you need is love (and donuts).”
Other fun touches throughout the night included a cigar bar, hanging floral garlands over the head table, and an explosion of confetti and glitter on the dance floor. Genevieve Stewart Photography was there to capture all the special moments, right down to everyone leaving on the OBX Trolley.
