Real Weddings: Dana & Justin – Countryside Charm
What do a talented bride and a patient groom have in common? Aside from great taste (see fabulous photos!) a love that will no doubt last forever. Dana, a local calligrapher, designed their full wedding invitation suite and her creative penchant for natural elegance was reflected in every detail of their special day.
Dana donned a fairy tale-esque gown and intricate laced lined veil as her ladies in waiting were all pretty in pink bridesmaid dresses. The groom and groomsmen all sported handsome navy suits, completed with stark white shirts and buff ties. Fresh white and cream blooms were adorned with rich greenery and complemented much of the ceremony and reception décor, thanks to Bowerbird Flowers and Bushel and Peck Designs. Many guests and even the couple’s event planners from C&D Events remarked on how “intentional” everything was and how their was such a meaningful feel to the entire day.
After a gorgeous outdoor ceremony, with a fully forested back drop, the party headed inside The Bradford, where food, fun, family and friends started the party with dining, dancing and deserts that lasted for hours! The tables were draped with all natural shades of creams, golds and hints of pink. Tablescapes ranged from subtle greenery to large rustic lanterns – tying in the rest of the wedding seamlessly thanks to CE Rentals and Cottage Luxe.
Details Cake Design did NOT disappoint and created the perfect “rustic” dirty iced/clean iced, three-tiered wedding cake adorned with eye-catching flowers. Island Sound got the party going and kept it going, making it virtually impossible for guests to stay in their seats!
The reception made it’s way outdoors, where guests danced the night away under the terrace and a released paper lanterns into the sky to celebrate the special union of Dana and Justin.
