Real Weddings: The Johnson’s Marry, Sutherland Style
Most people are busy trying to keep up with The Joneses, but when it comes to weddings, I say “just try to keep up with The Johnson’s!” The Sutherland has yet to see a wedding this meticulously planned – every detail perfectly in place – one of those you want to go back in time and copy (it’s all in the fabulous moments in time captured by the talented JP Lord Photography!)
It was an excited bunch as the bridal party prepared for the ceremony – the bride-to-be selected an intricate lace gown with billowy skirt and jeweled waist. Her bridesmaids walked the aisle in floor length, soft pink dresses. The groom took striking to a new level in a unique blue suit and bow tie. The perfectly overcast day kept the crowd cool as the bride and groom exchanged vows in a heart felt ceremony – then it was off to celebrate the happy couple!
Hand painted signs were scattered throughout the venue to guide and inform guests. The reception, decorated in golds, creams and whites, soft pink arrangements and strung lights was the ideal place for the non-stop dining and dancing that went well in to the evening. A four-tiered, buttercream cake was enjoyed by all as they made their way to the photo booth, where the silly and serious created lasting memories. When the party wrapped, it was an unforgettable sparkler tunnel that the newlyweds walked through as they said their goodbyes as Mr. and Mrs. Johnson.
