The Sutherland Estate Unveils New Event Pavilion
One of the Triangle’s most admired wedding venues has unveiled the newest addition to their beautiful property. This week, The Sutherland Estate & Gardens invited their upcoming brides, families, friends and colleagues to enjoy their new covered pavilion that will be used for weddings, receptions and corporate events.
The new addition was completed just in time for 2014 wedding season, with more than 60 brides on the books for the upcoming year who will get to enjoy the new covered pavilion. The structure boasts 9,000 square feet and 34-foot ceilings with building materials aimed to blend in with the surrounding historic buildings and the natural vegetation. Regionally harvested pine makes up the trusses that give the building the feel of an elegant horse barn with all of the modern amenities. Three sides of the structure open out to the property, allowing for that desirable open-air feel, and the pavilion can host up to 350 guests comfortably.
For the event on Tuesday, a beautiful crystal chandelier hung from the rafters, surrounded by strings of market lights. The new structure truly is a beautiful blank canvas just waiting to be designed to match your wedding! Local wedding vendors will be able to enjoy the new addition as well, with additional space for a kitchen and storage.
Congratulations to Ashlee, Jennifer and Gayle on the completion of such an incredible project! We can’t wait to see all of the gorgeous weddings that will occur in your new pavilion!
If you are interested in touring The Sutherland for your wedding day, don’t wait! Brides are already booking for 2015 and Saturdays will book fast!
