Urban Chic: A Rehearsal Dinner at the Glass Box
With so many celebrations surrounding your wedding day, there are a multitude of opportunities to showcase the different facets of your wedding style. With a chic Stockroom wedding planned, Kimberly and Evan chose to host a chic and urban rehearsal dinner for their closest friends and family. They selected Downtown Raleigh’s newest venue, the Glass Box as their rehearsal venue as it is located just above the Stockroom at 230 on Fayetteville Street. This amazing space is equally airy and intimate with floor to ceiling windows, minimalist décor and luxurious outdoor balcony overlooking the city.
Their wedding planner, Monica Noa of Nouveau Events put her own polished touch on the event and coordinated a fantastic team of vendors. Beginning with a simple black and white color scheme, a pop of vibrant green was added for a playful spin on a mod palette.
Noa opted for clean lines everywhere, with angular black plates atop crisp white linen, paired with geometric glasses and matte black flatware. Chameleon chairs were topped with white ruffled chair covers for the perfect touch of femininity.
Blossom Floral Artistry designed architectural arrangements using achromatic white orchids and calla lilies paired with lively greenery in various mirrored and lacquered containers for a modern look.
Around the room were examples of the couple’s sense of fun in the form of signage created by Grid Creative Studio, who focuses on custom paper and event branding. Signs such as “Alcohol, because no good story ever started with a salad” were evidence of the couple’s humor, and their unified look gave the event a sense of cohesion. Custom name cards were pinned to perfectly green pears, and chic square menus detailed a delicious menu from Empire Eats Catering.
Empire Eats created a fantastic menu from their top restaurants Sitti, Gravy, and The Pit. A first course of Gravy’s bruschetta shrimp cocktail was followed by the Empire Eats Salad, while the third course included traditional Lebanese Samkeh Harra, a sesame fish, baby back ribs from the pit and sides of roasted green beans and an interactive mashed potato bar.
Dessert was a decadent monochromatic cake by Sugar Euphoria with a beautiful floral illustration and topped with vibrant green mums. Kate Pope Photography perfectly captured rehearsal celebration for this happy Raleigh couple as they prepared for their wedding the following day!
